A Young Writer

When I was a child I was a dreamer. Smelling the first drops of rain on the parched earth, feeling the crunch, crunch, crunch of fall leaves underfoot, and hearing the mournful call of a loon evoked strong emotions in both heart and mind – words that were waiting to escape.

As I grew into a young adult, I began writing to release those words – writing to inform, writing to entertain, writing to persuade, writing to tell stories, writing to sell, writing for others, writing to put research into simple terms, but mostly, writing to make connections.

Today, I find fulfillment in sharing my words with others. I have a talent for making others feel like they’re inside of my story. People crave connection, and I have a knack for creating it through my words.
